Manifesto for General Practice

Manifesto for General Practice - the 10 demands

18 Feb 10

As the 2010 General Election approaches, the profession has spoken. This manifesto distills the views of nearly 900 GPs surveyed by Pulse in the lead-up in what could be a critical election for the NHS.

The survey results revealed GPs had strong feelings on the future directon of the NHS, and Pulse will use this manifesto to highlight the concerns of GPs to key politicians and policy-makers in the run-up to the general election.

The access to campaign badges is... ... ... ... ... where? I think I have clicked on everything, and have certainly been round in circles and seen every related page at least twice, without spotting a "Get your badges here!" bit...

In the manifesto we should include a new year resolution to stop GP bashing.

I agree with the manifesto cent percent

I agree totally with all these aims! Item 6, no extra work without extra money, was supposed to be enshrined in the new contract, but seems to have been conveniently forgotten by most PCOs and the Department of Health. More robust negotiation on these matters by the GPC would be useful here.
